Founder & Director - Navin Kulshreshtha

Devi Studios was created by Navin Kulshreshtha, a filmmaker and web developer with a diverse background. He was born in Canada and moved to the United States when he was 16. He received a bachelors degree in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in 1996. While an undergraduate, Navin conducted brain research at Johns Hopkins Medical School and published his findings.

Navin decided that scientific research was too dry for him, and moved to the south of Spain in 1999 to study Spanish and flamenco guitar. He lived with a host family and studied intensely with gypsy guitarists and dancers. In Spain, he started designing web sites for guitarists and guitar makers and found that he enjoyed it very much. By designing web sites, Navin was able to integrate his artistic and technical skills.

After moving to Washington, DC in 2001, Navin diversified his client base to include many organizations involved with environmental, spiritual, and progressive causes. He also created an activist organization called the 'Washington Area Spiritual Network' (WASN), a dynamic, online community with over 2000 members and growing.

Navin completed a Masters in Public Communication from American University where he made an important discovery-- he loved making films. Filmmaking integrated almost everything he had learned in his life and he soon started taking courses in writing, directing, cinematography, editing, producing and acting. He started writing film scripts and shooting short films and documentaries on topics that inspired him. He completed his  MFA in Film and Electronic Media in 2007.

Navin is an Adobe Certified Instructor in both Dreamweaver and Photoshop and travels around the country conducting workshops for media professionals. He now lives in Seattle and is working on a broad array of film, video and web projects.

In his spare time Navin likes to explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, bike around Seattle, play his guitar, travel and read.

A. Parker is a graphic designer, video editor, and post-production specialist with over 7 years of professional experience. He specializes in print graphic design, web graphics, animation, and editing. He's expert at using Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, AfterEffects and many other tools. He lives in Silver Spring, MD.
