We cover many topics and are especially
interested in cutting-edge films and documentaries that explore
the expanding evolution of the human species, including spirituality,
holistic health, environmentalism, and new human myths. We
are especially interested in an emerging genre of cinema called
"Spirtual Cinema," and are looking for collaborators
on projects.

Cinema
Stephen Simon, Hollywood producer of
"Somewhere in Time" and "What Dreams May Come,"
is spearheading a grassroots movement to establish a new genre
of film called Spiritual Cinema. This is a broad category
of cinema that uplifts, inspires, and explores higher realities
of our spiritual potential. Stephen Simon says: "As we
evolve as a species, we hit certain key moments in that evolution
when old ways are discarded and new maps of behavior are forged.
Movies are the most electrifying communications medium ever
devised and the natural conduit for inspiring ourselves to
look into the eternal issues of who we are and why we are
here." Devi Studios is actively seeking and developing
projects that would fall into this category. To read more

Environmentalism,
Sustainability, and Economics
We have structured an economy that
relies on never-ending growth and consumption. Unfortunately,
the planet's limited ecological resources cannot sustain never-ending
consumption of its precious resources. With a population of
6 billion people and growing, our planet is slowly waking
up to new, sustainable models for ecological and economic
prosperity. Devi Studios would like to produce films that
explore the inter-related nature of our economy and the ecology
that supports it. Currently, the two fields are viewed as
being separate and unrelated and an environmental movement
has been launched to reconcile the two. We would be interested
in both documentaries and fictional scripts that explore these
issues. While the fictional scripts can be educational in
nature, there must also be compelling characters, drama, suspense,
and all the other elements that keep a story moving.
Holistic
Medicine
Our current health care system is actually
a disease care system. Rather than focus on maintaining and
supporting health in order to prevent illness, our current
system intervenes only after much damage has already been
done to the body. This category of film will highlight people
who are discovering new modalities of healing and health maintenance
using natural and preventative techniques.
Science
and Spirituality
With each new discovery about the universe,
we are discovering that science and spirituality are the same.
This topic of film will explore such issues as the mind-body
connection, energetics, the true nature of thought, and countless
other topics
New Human
Myths
Success is currently defined in terms
of how much power, money, strength, and size one can amass.
It is assumed that these things will lead to happiness. This
topic of film will explore how true happiness comes from within
and how each person can have their own definition of success.
It will highlight individuals who eschew traditional definitions
of success and blaze their own trails. Ultimately, we must
create new human myths, a new story of the human species,
to reach our full potential as divine, creative beings.
Evolution
of Human Species
What will the future of life on Earth
look like? How will our society be different? How will people
live and interact with each other? What type of technologies
will we create to improve our lives. . . or perhaps, to destroy
them?
The Divine
Feminine
Our current society is dangerously
out of balance with our spiritual essence. As we evolve, we
are learning to connect with the divine feminine that has
been violently repressed for thousands of years, leading to
all sorts of dysfunctions on our planet. This topic of film
will be about the "goddess energy" that lies inside
everyone, whether male or female, and how to manifest this
in our lives. It could also be stories about how and why the
divine feminine has been suppressed for so long. |
